Aisha Holloway

Aisha Holloway is Professor of Nursing Studies and Head of Nursing Studies. A Registered Adult Nurse she has had clinical experience in General Medicine, Acute Medical Admissions and Intensive Care. Her overarching research programme has a public health and alcohol related harm focus underpinned by strong professional health policy leadership with a focus on the development and evaluation of complex alcohol interventions and innovative research engagement methods. Aisha has previously had a secondment to the Alcohol Policy Team at Scottish Government as an Honorary Nurse Consultant for Alcohol Research and Policy. She the Chair of the Scottish Alcohol Research Network, and is an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. Her current work funded by NIHR-PH focuses on piloting the feasibility and implementation of an alcohol extended intervention for males on remand.
